Happy New Year, friends! Are you wanting to start things off by eating a little lighter? Give any one (or all) of these colorful and easy entree salads a try!

So, after all of the decadent holiday feasts and treats, I’m currently craving food that’s a bit more on the healthy side. How about you?

For me, nothing beats a big main-course salad that leaves me feeling totally satisfied and really good about what I just ate. And these are some of my favorite big salads that are great any time of the year.

Each one has crisp lettuce, fresh veggies and a protein to fill you up so you won’t be left feeling hungry. And some even have their own homemade dressing (but you can always use whatever dressing you prefer).

Bonus: All 6 have also won the seal of approval from my husband who always used to tell me, “You can’t just have salad for dinner.” Well, now he actually requests them!

Of course, you could always pair any of these salads with soup and/or bread. And any of them can be customized to suit your own tastes (for example, you can change up the proteins or veggies).
