This Easy Homemade Lime Lemonade is lemonade with a refreshing twist of lime. It’s the perfect thirst quencher for hot summer days!
It’s finally here! Memorial Day weekend – the kickoff to all things summer! One of the best things about summer? It’s lemonade time!
Straight-up lemonade is always awesome, but my new favorite is this lime lemonade. It’s a little different but sooo good! It would be a great addition to your holiday celebration and all those summer picnics!
Lemonade takes me back to those lazy summer days when I was a kid. My sister, brother and I literally lived in the pool all summer long, and my mom always had a pitcher of lemonade in the refrigerator for when we got thirsty.
Now, truth be told, my mom used the powder to make lemonade (sometimes pink – I was definitely partial to the pink, although I often wondered why it was pink since there are no pink lemons). I didn’t know any different. It was delicious!
Over at my gram’s house, summer meant limeade – which sounded totally weird to me at the time – but once I tried it, I was in love! I think it came from the freezer section (it even had pulp in it). It tasted so fresh and delicious.
When I got a little older, I finally got a taste of true homemade lemonade at an amusement park at one of those stands where they squeeze the lemons right there in front of you. Wow, what a difference! There is nothing like the real thing!
For a really long time, I kind of forgot about lemonade altogether. Recently, David asked me to make some, and I happily obliged.
I decided to make the real deal from scratch because that’s how I roll these days. I made the first batch with just lemons. Delicious!
Then I decided to add a little lime because I was remembering how good the limeade was. This is now our new favorite lemonade! That little twist of lime is so delicious and refreshing!!

HERE’S A QUICK LOOK AT HOW TO MADE EASY HOMEMADE LIME LEMONADE:
If you just want lemonade or limeade, go ahead and use all lemon juice or all lime juice.
I find the recipe, as written, to be the perfect balance between tart and sweet. Feel free to adjust the amount of sugar to suit your tastes.
And…I’ll let you in on a little secret. You can totally make this with bottled lemon and lime juice if you want, and it will still taste awesome and so much better than any powdered mix! I have actually done it lots of times because, honestly, those lemons and limes can be pricey and, sometimes, I just I don’t feel like juicing lemons and limes!
I hope everyone has a nice Memorial Day weekend!
Let’s not forget the true meaning of the holiday. Please take a moment to remember and honor all the courageous souls who died while serving this country and made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms – and also to thank and honor all the brave men and women who are serving today.
I hope you try this Easy Homemade Lime Lemonade recipe and love it as much as I do. Thanks for visiting today!
